Coaching Experience
Coach Rees ran the DBU program at Playmaker U in 2013/14 and has been regarded as a coach/player through his days at York University. In 2012, Rees served as the Defensive Backs Coach for the ABJ Scots Sr. Team. We are fired up to be adding Coach Rees to our Peak School of Football coaching staff!
Playing Days
Rees won a provincial championship with the Sherwood Park Rams in bantam before joining the ABJ Scots for high school. He was the Scots MVP in 2010 and 2011. Rees also had the opportunity to play for multiple all-star teams, including; 2011 U18 Team Alberta (named to the All-Canadian Team), 2012 & 2013 Team World, 2012 Team Canada (who beat the US in the World Championship). In 2012 he joined the Edmonton Huskies, where played two seasons before signing with York University. In his first year at York, Rees was named to the OUA All Rookie Team.
Education
Rees recently graduated York University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Sociology.
